The Athabasca RCMP have reported that the body of a deceased male was found in Athabasca on March 20.
According a press release from the detachment, the Athabasca RCMP responded to a report on March 20 that a deceased male had been located in a wooded area off of Highway 813 across from the intersection of Highway 55.
The release states that police attended and secured the area for further examination. The deceased male was removed and is to be examined and further investigated by the medical examiner.
The release also states that at this time, the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature, and out of respect for the family of the deceased the name is not being released to the public.
