ATHABASCA — Ratepayers, residents, and curious commuters traveling highway 2 on the south side of town may have noticed a missing element along their drives.
The Town of Athabasca welcome sign, which can usually be spotted from the road while passing the New Western Athabasca Inn, has taken a few days leave of its upright position, thanks to the wind.
Town CAO Rachel Ramey said the sign was blown down in the high winds experienced Thursday, April 11, and repair work will commence as soon as possible.
